2014 July 7: Leonard Katz

With much sadness we inform you of the passing of long term alumni club member Leonard Katz, 88, who passed away on July 7, 2014.

Prior to retirement in 1992, Lenny was a long term Turn*Style and Osco soft goods district manager based at the Osco/Star Market Cambridge office. After retirement, Lenny became a charter member of the alumni club and organized alumni luncheons in New England for the club in the 1990s. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Stone) Katz with whom he recent celebrated 63 years. Lenny was the devoted father of Roberta (Katz) Fallon and her husband John Fallon of Mashpee, Massachusetts, Neil Katz, M.D. and his wife Amy (Leong) Katz of Irvine, California, and Susan (Katz) Meister and her husband Michael Meister, M.D. of Coral Gables, Florida. Cherished grandfather of Meredith and David Meister, Matthew Fallon, and Sterling Katz. Dear brother of the late Manuel Katz and the late George Katz. He attended Boston University, and was a World War II Army Veteran, Member of Moses Michael Hays Masonic Lodge A.F. & A. M. and Jewish War Veterans.
