OTTUMWA — A memorial service was held for Frederick F. Drumm at 3 p.m. Dec. 14, 2007, at Sunland Mortuary in Sun City, AZ. Fred was born in Maquoketa, IA, on May 26, 1919, and passed away December 4, 2007. He was preceded in death by his son, Philip, in 1996 and his wife, Virginia, in 2005. Survivors include his daughter, Andrea Stangl of Peoria, AZ; daughter-in-law, Lin Drumm of Mt. Vernon, IA; seven grandchildren, Angela (Jeff) Rehnke, Cynthia (Mike) Mellin, Matthew (Emily) Stangl, Sarah (Jim) Fullerton, Kj (Dave) Dunn, Tony Doyle, Allison (Brian) Maynard and thirteen great-grandchildren. Fred was a pharmacist at Rexall Drug in Ottumwa from 1945-1949. He later managed Osco Drug until retiring in 1971. He then worked as a relief pharmacist in the Ottumwa and Centerville areas until 1983. Fred and his wife, Ginny, then retired to Sun City, AZ. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
