2011 June 18: Antonietta Anne Pompeo

Antonietta T. Anne Pompeo, age 88, of Quincy, died peacefully, Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Hancock Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Quincy, MA.


Anne was born, raised, and educated in Quincy. She graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1940. She was both a lifelong resident of Quincy and parishioner at Saint John the Baptist Church in Quincy. She belonged to the Saint Johns M-3 Senior Citizens Group. She was employed as a photo technician at the former Alves Photo Service in Braintree for thirty-nine years, and retired in 1981. For most of her life, she lived with her three sisters and supported the household. In her later years, Anne took over the domestic management of the household. She will be deeply missed by her sister and will leave a profound vacancy in her heart. Beloved daughter of the late Pasquale and Carmela (Montopoli) Pompeo. She is survived by her loving sister, Rosina A. Rose Pompeo and her sister-in-law Lillian (Clancy) Pompeo both of Quincy. She was the sister of the late Caravita Katy Ricci and her late husband Riccardo, the late Virginia M. Pompeo, the late Dora B. Pompeo, the late Felice Pompeo, the late Nicola Pompeo and his late wife Rose (Nardo) Pompeo, and the late Raffaele Pompeo and his late wife Clara (Pallucio) Pompeo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Monday, June 20 at 11 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School St., Quincy at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hour Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
