Craig Rogers was born Oct. 6, 1955, in Elgin, to Paul and Lorraine (nee Morgan) Rogers. He passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at his home in Crystal Lake. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, who will miss the joy and goodwill he shared.
Craig's greatest love was spending time with his family and friends and working with the wonderful people at Jewel-Osco, where he worked for more than 33 years. He was very involved in coaching and watching his children participate in sports. He loved watching games at Crystal Lake South, where his children attended. His other great love was working as a manager at Jewel-Osco. Craig's colleagues and friends at Jewel-Osco supported, loved and helped him survive many years of challenges.
His family is eternally grateful for the kindness they showed over the years. Lastly, he was loved and will be missed by his friends of more than 20 years, the Gabberts, Mackos, Wikieraks and Ludwigs. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol; his children, Eric and Katie; his brothers, Steve (Dawn) and Mark (Debbie); his in-laws, Robert (Lorinda) Erickson; his sisters-in-law, Karen (Rob) Fankhauser and Tracy (Chuck) Vana; a brother-in-law, Gary (Kathy) Erickson; nieces, Michelle and Kelly; and nephews, Michael, Doug, Brett, Joel, Charlie, Matt and Russell. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Road, Cary. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are welcome at Peace Lutheran Church, F1843 Huckleberry Road, Edgar, WI 54426.
