Maxine Hope Wheeler, 82, Springfield, formerly of Miller, died at 6:45 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at St. John’s Mercy Villa in Springfield. She was born May 20, 1930, in Miller to Thomas and Georgia (Caten) Hope.
She was a 1948 graduate of Miller High School and worked for Osco Drug in Springfield for many years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Rogers.
Graveside services were May 2 at the Misemer Cemetery, east of Miller, under the direction of the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, Miller.
