Sue Bomkamp, 61, of Muscoda and Richland Center, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at home in the arms of her loving husband after an 18 month battle with lung cancer.
She was born August 27, 1951 the daughter of David and Grace (Nelson) Hill. Sue graduated from Riverdale High School in 1969. She moved to Beloit in 1984 and worked as a Supervisor at Osco Drug. Sue returned to Muscoda in 1994 and managed Pierce’s Super Market in Muscoda for 10 years. She later worked at Wal Mart as a part time cashier. On May 8, 1995 Sue married Dennis ‘Bump’ Bomkamp and the couple moved to their farm in 2006. She loved animals, especially cats, dogs, and horses, four wheeling, motorcycle rides, boating, and gambling.
Sue is survived by her husband Dennis Bomkamp of Richland Center, three children: Misty (Jason) Roland of Beloit, Chris Kohlmeyer of Richland Center, Nicole Bomkamp of Muscoda; Seven Grandchildren: Katie and Rebecca Schildgen of Beloit, Alisha and Nathon Roland of Beloit, Jacob and Josh Kohlmeyer of Milton, Jayden Bomkamp of Muscoda; Sister, Karen (Robert) Luegers of Jasper, IN; Brother, Mike Hill of Muscoda; Brother and Sister-In-Laws: Joe (Irene) Bomkamp of Black Earth, Arnold (Marge) Bomkamp of Avoca, Patricia (Jerry) Davis of Gurnee, IL, Gert (Ken) Hying of Lake City, IA, Clete Bomkamp of Muscoda, Sharon (Roger) Chupp of Richland Center, Elaine (Ron) Koenig of Black Earth, Mary (Jon) Baluta of Bennett, CO Cynthia Hill of Belleview, NE; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by parents Dave and Grace Hill, In-laws Ray and Emma Bomkamp, brother David Hill, niece Samantha Hill, Brother- In-Laws Larry and Chuck Bomkamp.
Friends may call at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home in Muscoda on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Burial will occur at a future date.
