Dorothy T. (Kelley) Currie, of Quincy, MA passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at home. She was 74 years old and the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Currie. Born in Boston on January 19, 1939, she was the loving daughter of the late Thomas & Dorothy (Donnolley) Kelley.
Mrs. Currie was a graduate of Dorchester High School. She was a longtime devoted employee of Rite Aide in Quincy, formerly Osco Drug/Turnstyle. She was a strong believer in the importance of family values and lived her life devoted to her family and kind to all who knew her.
Mrs. Currie was the loving and devoted mother of Robert Currie Jr. of Quincy, Karen Podolske of Brockton, Doreen Currie of Brockton, Susan Tenore & her husband David of Brockton and Kelly Currie of Quincy. She was the cherished grandmother of Michael, Kelli, Kristie, Sarah, David, the late Sean and great-grandmother of 10. She was the dear sister of Marie Wolesley of Indiana, Ann Phinney of Holbrook, John Kelley of Abington, the late Thomas & Walter Kelley and sister-in-law of the late Al Phinney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her buddy Emma.
Funeral from the Boela-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Tuesday, September 24 at 8am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 153 South Franklin Street, Holbrook at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery.
