2014 April 15: Mitch Oddo

With much sadness we inform you of the passing of alumni club member Mitchell W. Oddo age 65 who passed away suddenly on Tuesday April 15, 2014 at his home in Victoria, MN.


Memorial Mass and Christian Burial will take place on Monday April 28, 2014, 11:00 am at St. Victoria Catholic Church (8228 Victoria Drive), Victoria with Father Bob White as Celebrant of the Mass; a gathering of family and friends from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass at the church. Luncheon to follow the service at the Oddo residence.


Mitchell was born on June 22, 1948 in Chicago, IL and was the son of Samuel and Dorothy (Schiffra) Oddo. On February 24, 1996, Mitchell was united in marriage to Karel A. Craine in Ilinois.


Never has there been a more loving husband, father and grandfather than Mitch Oddo. His life was his family, his wife, his children and grandchildren. He adored them. He loved his home, he loved his gardening, he loved hunting with his son, Samuel and his faithful golden retriever, Charlie. He loved hosting friends and family, sharing food, games and laughter. Mitch was a good man, a strong leader, and a man who always taught his children to "be the best you can be", "be committed" and "hang tough". He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.


Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Dorothy Oddo.


Mitchell in survived by his loving family; wife Karel Oddo of Victoria; children Gina (Mike) Peabody of Illinois, Brian Craine of Victoria, Stacey Kopiczko of Illinois, Tammy (Eric) Koz of Illinois, Michelle (Nelson) Juarez of Texas, Eric Oddo of Illinois, Samuel Oddo of Victoria; grandchildren Ashley Harden, Zoe Koz, Faith Koz, Kate Kopiczko; sister Sharon (Harold) Hartman of Arizona; brothers-in-law Robert (Mary Jo) Miller of Michigan, William (Trisha) Miller of Florida; nephews Jared (Ashley) Hartman, Drew (Danielle) Hartman; other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.


In lieu of flowers, if preferred, donations can be made a college fund memorial which has been established for their son Samuel Oddo. Donations can be made at any branch of Wells Fargo Bank.
