Marilyn D. Whalen, 79, passed away on April 4, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born in Sebree, Kentucky in 1934. Marilyn worked for many years at Schnuck's and retired from Osco Drug, where she had been a bookkeeper. Her greatest joy in life was her family.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille Whitfield and Clint Sandefur; and by her loving husband, Jim Whalen. Survivors include her children, Terry (Rebecca) Bates, Mark (Tina) Bates, Cathy (Randy) Meagher-King, and Laurie Yates; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Joan Fox and Jim Whitfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a graveside service on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 12:00pm in Sunset Memorial Park. Celebrant Leslie Sides will officiate. Sunset Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
