Judith Ann “Judy” Woolums, 75, of 140 Vogel Ave., died at 8:05 a.m. July 17, 2014.
She was born May 30, 1939 in Powell, WY to Wallace and Vivian Brown Strand. She married Rex Colling and they later divorced. She married Edward L. Woolums on April 24, 1980. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1994.
Judy graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Pharmacy in 1961. She was a pharmacist for Osco Drug, Ottumwa Clinic, Wal-Mart and retired from Drug Town. She was the first woman pharmacist licensed in Iowa.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Ottumwa Women’s Club and AARP. Judy will be remember fondly by her many friends and travel companions.
Surviving is her son, Craig (Jean-Marie Kauth) Colling of Warrenville, IL; a step-son, Donnie Woolums of Davenport; three grandchildren, David, Nikita and Katya; a brother, Ron Strand of Wyoming and a sister, Reva Campbell of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Katherine Rebecca, for whom she was twice a bone marrow donor and a step-daughter, Judy Bosley.
Her body has been cremated.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Warrenville Cemetery in Warrenville, IL.
The family will be present one hour prior to the service.
