Geneva C. “Jerry” Lames, 95, of Farmington, Arkansas, died July 21, 2014, in Farmington.
She was born July 9, 1919, in Nemaha, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar J. and Leora Grace Biggins King.
She was a retired employee of Osco Drug and a member of the VFW auxiliary. She loved to play Bingo and Bunko and was in a knitting guild that knitted for charity.
She is survived by three sons, Larry Lames and his wife Treva of Fayetteville, Michael Lames and his wife Cathy of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Gregory Lames and his wife Becky of Bloomfield; a daughter, Sandra Anderson and her husband, Tim of Amherst, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Thad Anderson, Erica Lames, Lisa Lames, Christy Anderson and Rachel Lames; a stepgrandson, Josh Moose; and three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Lames, Delaney Anderson and Emmy Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Lames; two brothers, Russell King and Kenneth King; and two sisters, Leota Ploeger and Florence Kendall.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, and burial will be in the Military Garden of Honor, Forest Meadows Memorial Park East in Gainesville, Florida.
