Long time alumni club member Jean Christine Marie Schneider, age 71 passed away on March 15, 2014.
Jean was born to the late Christian and Hazel (nee Horn) Schneider and is survived by her sister Dorothy (Ed) Miller. She was the aunt of Violet Horn and cousin to many. Retired from Osco Drug Store with 35 years of service. Jean was president of the Broadview/Hillside American Legion Auxiliary Unit 626 for at least 15 years. She lived most of her life in the Broadview/Bellwood area until moving to Lombard. She was baptized January 31, 1943 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Melrose Park. She sang in the choir for many years. She was a graduate of Proviso West High School in Hillside, June 1961 (the 1st graduating class in the new high school). Visitation Tuesday, March 18, 2014; 11a.m. until time of service 1p.m. at Hursen Funeral Home, SW corner of Mannheim & Roosevelt Roads, Hillside/Westchester.
