Eva Mae Carruth, 81, of Colmesneil, passed away, Monday, November 17, 2014 at Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville, Texas.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2014 beginning at 6 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Colmesneil Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Michael Strother. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Hebert, Adam Donahue, Jarrod Comte, Justin Vise, Austin Vise, and Guy Varney.
Eva was born May 17, 1933 to Oscar & Euphemie Savoie Richard in Church Point, LA. She was a longtime resident of Tyler County having come from Port Arthur. She was a retired pharmacy tech from Savon Drugs.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Lincoln Lanclos; parents, Oscar & Euphemie Richard; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; and her son-in-law, Robert Ward.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Wayne Carruth of Colmesneil; daughters, Deborah Vise & husband, John of Houston, Pamella Lanclos Short & husband, Jim of Little Elm, Tina Lanclos Ward of Beaumont, and Kathryn Comte & husband, Chuck of Midlothian; step sons, Mark Carruth & wife, Janine of Las Vegas, NV and Dennis Carruth & wife, Kristi of Riverside, CA; brothers, Huey Richard of LaRose, LA, Roosevelt Richard of Crowley, LA, and Louis Richard of Breaux Bridge, LA; sister, Wilma Thibodeaux of Lafayette, LA; sister-in-law, Judy Harris of Beaumont; grandchildren, Autumn, Elizabeth, Michael, Becky, Taryn, Amanda Carruth, Justin, Austin Vise, Courtney Short, April Varney, Ashley Donahue, Kaleigh Hebert, and Jarrod Comte; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.
