Clifford G. Wallace, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 23, 1935 in Princeton, Minnesota, the son of Lloyd and Ethel (Snow) Wallace. He graduated from Princeton High School and attended Pharmacy School at North Dakota State University. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth C. Sipple on December 29, 1956 in Minneapolis. He worked for Osco Drug for many years and later Thrifty White Drug, where he was President and CEO, retiring in 2000. In 2010 the couple moved to Huntley and Clifford enjoyed time with his family and grandchildren. He liked to read, vacation and go fishing with his children in Canada. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" of Huntley, his children, Diane (Howard) Sepulvado of Shakopee, Minnesota, Mary (Andrew, M.D.) Krock of Arlington Heights, Tamara (Kevin) Flynn of Nashua, New Hampshire, John (Tina) Wallace of Wilmington, Delaware, Karen (John) Belich and Bob (Jill) Wallace all of St. Charles, Illinois, 22 grandchildren, Megan, Jeffery, Molly, Susan, Daniel, Rebecca, Brian, Mitchell, Michael, Ryan, Trevor, Kelsey, Jake, Jared, Eric, Jackson, Ellie, Cait, Alex, Nora and Josie, 9 great-grandchildren, his siblings, Mary Ellen (Roy) Peterson of Crystal, Minnesota, Jerry (Ann) Wallace of Aztec, New Mexico, Judy Buisman and Gayle (Bob) DeBoom of Phoenix and Robin (Barb) Wallace of St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Cory and his brothers and sisters, Glen, Lorraine, Jeanne and Leland. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 9th at Hope Catholic Cemetery in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
