Walter Joseph Kobak, 67, who resided on Lincoln Way West, South Bend, Indiana, passed away in his home on Monday, April 6, 2015.
Walter was born May 29, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Veronica Kobak He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1971 and in 1979, a Master of Public Administration Degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. Walter was employed in Security at Osco Drugs. He and Gail Jean Hartmann were united in wedlock. Survivors include his wife, Gail Jean; one son, Eddie Kobak; one grandson, Justin Kobak, both of Chicago, Illinois; godchildren, Annette McCree, Arietha McCree, Andretta (Charles) Smith, Channese Strong (also his caregiver), Phillips Dabney, Reginald Enge, Jaloni Strong, Royce Thomas, Tangina Strong, Kayla Love, Kannasha McCree and Amarianna Wolford; and a brother-n-law, Gary (Rosie) Hartmann, all of South Bend, Indiana.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Alford's Mortuary where arrangements have been entrusted.
