Hazel E. Abraham, 98, of Oshkosh died Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Bethel Home. She was born May 13, 1916 in Oshkosh a daughter of Fred and Augusta Jahnke Rosanske.
She married Alward Abraham on Aug. 17, 1940 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1984. Hazel was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and had worked at Osco Drug for many years. She was the sweetest lady you would have ever met. Hazel is survived by two daughters, Judy Stowe and Lynn Harron both of Oshkosh; two sons, Alan "Corky" (Karla) Abraham and Michael Abraham both of Oshkosh; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons-in-law, John Stowe and Bill Harron; four sisters, Edna Borchard, Viola Britton, Clara Werner, and Lillian Schaefer; and a brother, Walter Rosanske. A memorial service for Hazel will be held Monday, January 19, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Rev. Jim Seim officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established to Bethel Home. Hazel's family sends a special thank you to the staff at Bethel Home, especially 1-West for the 10 years of loving care Hazel received.
