Richard E Chwalisz died peacefully on April 11, 2016 in Hammond, IN at the age of 83.
Richard is survived by his wife of 29 years Maryann, stepdaughters Kenlyn, Barbara, Christine, Georgianna, their husbands Ruben, Gerry, Jimmy, and Wayne, stepdaughter in-law Terrie, eighteen grandchildren and thirty-two greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Cecelia, and his stepson John. Richard was born on Oct 31, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Walter and Cecilia Chwalisz. He graduated from Wilbur Wright College and Lane Technical High School.
He married Maryann Szwankowski Jan 10th 1987.Richard was an accomplished draftsman and mechanical engineer. Richard was a witty individual who loved Chicago sports teams, passionate about model making, shared his life experiences and encouraged all to pursue their life goals. A memorial is scheduled on April 24th 2016 from 3pm to 7pm at the Trails Association Clubhouse located at 703 E Nerge Rd Roselle, IL 60172. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Richard's life.
