HILLSBORO — Margaret E. "Peg" Bradley-Rambo, 96, of Hillsboro passed away at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Bureau Junction to Earl Nathaniel and Violet Esther (Knudsen) Simpson. She married Robert Gray Bradley on Jan. 1, 1942, at the First Christian Church in Princeton. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1965. She then married John M. Rambo on June 18, 1973, in Anaheim, Calif. He preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2011.
She was a graduate of Princeton High School in Princeton. She worked for Illinois Consolidated Telephone in Princeton and in California; the Southern Pacific Railroad; Savon Drug, Inc. in Garden Grove, Calif.; was a department head of Cosmetics and Jewelry Buyer Retail Store; and worked for Bass Patton Funeral Home in Hillsboro. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Danish Sisterhood Lodge 55.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Gray (Nancy) Bradley of Nokomis, Lynne (James) Lennert of Garden Grove, Calif., Connie (Creighton) Prosser of Anaheim, Calif., and Rebecca (Ken) Julian of Lincoln; nine grandchildren, Shaun (Tyler) Lennert, Shellese (Jeffrey) Ash, Seth Lennert, Preston (Heidi) Prosser, Garret Prosser (Beth Taylor), Jennifer Violet (Damon) Neece, Michelle (Jody) Ravary, Kristel (James) White and Lori Thorton; 14 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded by a brother, Lawrence E. Simpson, and a son Timothy A. Rambo.
