Nicholas "Ted" Lentz Jr., 79, of Rock Island, died Monday, March, 7, 2016, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island, IL.
Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Ted was born Feb. 17, 1937, in Rock Island, the son of Nicholas T. Lentz Sr. and Anna Nelson Lentz. He married the former Diana Robertson Capella on May 15, 1965.
He was a 1959 graduate of Creighton University School of Pharmacy, Omaha, Neb. Ted was a pharmacist for over 50 years, retiring in 1995. He worked at the former Schegel Drug, Osco Drug and part time at Walgreens and Cosgrave Drug.
He is survived by his wife, Diana; daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Isaacs, Rock Island, and Heather Harvey, Rock Island; son, Todd Lentz, Rock Island; grandchildren, Emily, Rebecca, Tyus, Mason, Braelyn and Porter. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Ladwig.
