Cathi Richter, 56, of Towanda, IL passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 at her home.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Historic St. Patrick's Church, Bloomington, the Rev. Jeffery Windy officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where there will be a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Illinois Cancer Care.
She was born January 22, 1960 in Paris, IL, daughter of John Drake and Julia Davis Jenness. She married Steven J. Richter on February 25, 1989 in Bloomington.
Surviving are her husband, Steven, of Towanda; her mother, Julia Jenness of Marshall; two sisters, Vicki (Floyd) Parr of Danville and Jonni (Clifford) Turner of Marshall and one brother, Brent Jenness of Lafayette, IN.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Cathi graduated as Valedictorian of her class at Chrisman HIgh School. In 1983, she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
She enjoyed her career as a Pharmacist at Osco on Oakland Avenue and also at Illinois State University Student Pharmacy.
Cathi also enjoyed cross-stitching and crocheting.
