It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Stanley Carlson of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, born in Annandale, Minnesota, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Mary Carlson; his sons, Eric and Christopher Carlson; his parents, Reverend Paul E. Carlson and Ruth Anderson Carlson; his step-mother Wilma Jewel Carlson; his grandchildren, Shayley Lynn and Ian Carlson; his sisters, Lynette Rathbone, Marilyn Carlson and Pauline Nelson; and his nieces and nephews, Brad Nelson, Kay Mork, Janine Starceuich, Lynda Kay, Erin Wester and Scot Effenheim.
Mary Carlson called me this morning to advise that her dear husband Stan Carlson passed away on 12-21-2020 from lung and kidney cancer at the age 81 on 12-21-2020.
Mary told us that due to the pandemic restrictions on visitors Stan had requested and with the help of their doctors was discharged from Good Samaritan Hospital to return home under hospice care where he passed just before Christmas.
Mary along with their sons have decided not to schedule any services for Stan at this time due to the restrictions of the pandemic
They plan to hold a memorial service and celebration of Stan's life at some point in the future when circumstances permit.
