Edna Pauline Bailey peacefully passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 94 in Spring House, PA. She was born on September 3, 1929, in Norwood, MA, to Paul and Victoria Sodano. She was predeceased by her husband Royce Bailey and her sisters Wilma Doyle and Laura Snay.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bailey, and husband Richard Murray of Philadelphia, PA, by her sons, Peter Bailey and wife Lori Bailey of Millsboro, DE, and Andrew Bailey and wife Jane Bailey of Franklin, MA as well as her brother, Roy Sodano of Concord, MA. She leaves behind a legacy of 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Edna grew up in Somerville, MA attending Somerville High School. She and Royce raised their family in Medford where she loved participating in the choir at St. Francis of Assisi and in the Women's club. Later in life, they moved to Erdenheim, PA where she continued her singing at St. Genevieve's.
In addition, Edna also participated in a local bowling league. She continued participating in choir when she moved to Springhouse Estates where she enjoyed playing bridge, doing puzzles, and getting everyone to play Rummicube. All who met her there found her an enjoyable and pleasant companion.
A memorial service will be held on October 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi, located at 411 Fellsway West, Medford, MA.
