2025 December 18th: Lucy A. (Gucciardi) Licciardi,

Lucy A. (Gucciardi) Licciardi, of North Andover, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on December 18, 2025 after a wonderful life of 90 years.


Lucy was born in Lawrence Massachusetts on September 21, 1935 to the late Antonio and Antoniette (Lombardo) Gucciardi.


She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1952. She attended Fazio's Beauty School in Lawrence and became a hairstylist for nearly 5 years early on. She later switched careers and started a 25 year Retail Management career for Turnstyle Department Store in Lawrence where she was respectfully known to her employees as "Miss Lucy". As time went on she continued her management career for Osco Drug also in Lawrence from where she later retired.


After taking a few years off she decide to enter the work force again for Jackson Lumber and Millwork part time, later switching to full time as a Purchasing Inventory administrator for 14 years until her second retirement in 1998.


Lucy always lead a very active lifestyle, bowling , walking, dancing and volunteering. She loved to entertain at her home, holidays and there was always a pool party at Auntie Lucy's. But her greatest passion was cooking for her family and friends, of her many dishes her tasty Italian sauce and meatballs will forever be missed.


She was a member of St. Rita's Sodality, with a strong religious background, volunteering at Holy Rosary Church. She was a fixture each year inside the Parish Hall running a raffle during the Italian Feast. She also took great comfort in her beautiful collection of angels, which held a special place in her heart and home.


Lucy was very sociable and loved to be around people, always meticulously dressed with a beautiful smile. She always had a quest for knowledge and betterment of herself. There weren't many tasks she wouldn't take on even later on in life.


Lucy is survived by her husband of 67 years, John R. Licciardi of North Andover and her 4 children, daughters, Geraldine S. Palmisano and her husband Larry of Andover, Gina M. Licciardi of North Andover, her sons, David J. Licciardi and John M. Licciardi both of North Andover. Also among her survivors is her loving sister, Frances S. Couto of Bedford MA and her cherished grandchildren, John, Davin and Natalia(Tali) and great grandson Grayson as well as several nieces and nephews.


Lucy was predeceased by her sister Diana Faggiano and her brother, Gaspare "Gus" Gucciardi.
