Connie J. Good, age 82, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on October 5, 2025. Born to the late Jakee and Ruby Highfill, on May 30, 1943, in Fort Scott, Kansas. She then moved to Chicago, and later lived in Rockford, Illinois, for many years. Connie lived a life dedicated to her family and friends. She was a member of the Oregon Country Club, where she enjoyed many rounds of golf. She was also involved with the Rockford Women's Club. She will be fondly remembered for her quick wit and great sense of humor. Many memories were made around the kitchen table. Let us not forget the late-night bowls of ice cream. They were a must. Her life was a testament to the power of love and kindness, reminding us all to cherish each moment and each other. Her presence and memory will be alive in our hearts and minds, forever.
She leaves behind a loving family, including a Brother, Jerry Highfill, Son, Tony (Mary) Scalzitti and Daughters, Dorothy (Steve) Wertzbaugher, Sue (Tom) Hall, Christy (Angel) Juarez, and son-in-law Jerry Sweeney; Grandchildren, David (Jenny) Vernetti, Daniel (Emily) Henry, Zachary (Brandi) Scalzitti, Jacob (Lacey) Scalzitti, Alexandra (Desmond) Sunday, Kimberlee (Thomas) Clifton, Stephanie (Ian) Roque, Cory (Amy) Hall, Casey (Kelly) Hall, Jay (Maria) Sweeney, Simone (Stephen) Dempsey, Daniel (Kathy) Juarez, Adam (Jennifer) Juarez, Emily Juarez, Alexei (Amanda) Juarez, and many, many great grandchildren. Nephews, Beau Highfill, Wesley (Brianne) Highfill and Niece, Micaela (Chris) Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Good, parents Jakee and Ruby Highfill and daughter Terri Sweeney.
Connie's celebration of life will be held at GPS Faith Community on November 15th. located at 11189 Forest Hills Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115. It will start at 2pm, followed by lunch ending by 4pm.
