ROMEO 2/20/2026

It was a sunny but breezy day that directed the 12 retired retailers indoors at the General Store in Scottsdale.  They had done some minor remodeling and we had a nice table by the fireplace being over seen by a watchful security animal.  Questionable clientele.  We had some wonderful surprises in that Sandy and Dick Davis were there and informed us they have purchased a winter home in Troon to thaw out  from the Michigan chill.  Great to be able see them.  Steve Page was visiting in his western attire…Ohio isn’t sure who he is!  Ron Grove returned from a lengthy absence while at Lake of the Ozarks and then returning to move into their new home……and then decided to move again which is in progress.  I am sure they will be happy when they get home.  Stan Petersen was taking a break from his golf fame looking for that elusive edge. Curt Larson has been working out and improving his energy levels.  His boys and grand daughters are great and healthy. Frank Stock is still managing the stock markey; do you have any questions for him? Jerry Osterman has another month of pleasant temps in the Valley of the Sun…he never changes. Dave Schoenbeck if in final stages of knee recovery and ready to sharpen his golf skills. John Spellman was a welcome visitor…he has been traveling and selling his athletic team catering business.  Very successful!  His family is all healthy and growing…Now he just has to find another business.  Pat Johnston just comes for the waffle and ham steak, but also enjoys seeing everyone from our fine company. Kathy and I had the pleasure of having dinner last Wednesday with Chris Dimos on his visit to the Valley.  He looked great..he had lost weight and was tanned from all the sunshine in Dallas area?? He and Teresa just became grandparents of a grandson, Lachlan.  Mother and son are doing well.  Always great to see Chris.  By the way, he is taking an interesting trip with two fellow travelers, Bill Gillespi and Bryan Yagar are going to follow the battle paths of “the band of brothers”.  The trip begins Next May in London.

On another note, Tom Mcgovern, John’s brother had a heart misadventure several weeks ago and had a pace maker implanted and is currently building strength through physical therapy.

That is all for now…best wishes to you all. Gerry
