Online grocer Good Eggs began delivering orders in Los Angles, marking its first major expansion in several years.
The company, which carries around 100,000 SKUs, 70% of which are locally sourced, will provide same day delivery from its 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Vernon, California.
Good Eggs generated more than $100 million last year in the Bay Area, and plans to expand to additional West Coast markets to reach its $1 Billion revenue goal.
Good Eggs' focus on LOCAL SOURCING is its main differentiator, using strict guidelines to source products within 250 miles of its warehouse.
Vineet Mehra, the former chief marketing officer at Walgreens Boots Alliance, joined Good Eggs last year, said the L.A. Expansion took around a year to build and further growth will occur thru measured expansion growth plans in other Markets.
