Kerrie Flaten Promoted TO VP At Supervalu

Supervalu is pleased to announce the promotion of Kerrie Flaten to VP, Shelf Services. In this expanded role, Kerrie will now oversee both Shelf Management and Field Sales and will focus on integrating these services to strengthen our reputation as trusted partners and industry leading service experts. Jack Murphy will now report into Kerrie and she will continue to report directly to me. This new role is effective immediately.

Kerrie started her career in her home state of Utah at American Stores in 1997 on the Item Set-Up team and held roles in several departments such as seasonal, GMHBC, Ad Planning, and more in her 24 year tenure with the company. As American Stores was acquired by Albertsons and later merged to become Supervalu in 2006, Kerrie and her family relocated to MN in 2007 as a Merchandising Promotions Manager. In 2013 Kerrie was promoted to Director Retail Planning & Execution overseeing all planogram, mapping and Home store components. Most recently Kerrie held the position of Sr. Director Space Planning and Implementation leading the Professional Services Shelf Management team. Kerrie’s leadership skills, combined with her strength in execution, and broad knowledge of the industry will serve her well in her new role.

Kerrie has relocated with the company multiple times and still loves to travel with her family. She also enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and spending time with her three teenage children ages 17, 16, and 15. She plans to spend her days ahead hiking and visiting the many beautiful State & National Parks across the U.S.

Our people are our greatest resource and Kerrie has made a significant influence on our success to date. We will continue to partner across teams and functional areas to share expertise and best practices, drive our Fuel the Future strategy forward and continue to make our customers stronger and our company better.
