Online grocer Misfits Market has expanded to California, and now serves 44 states and D.C.
Misfits is adding dairy products to its assortment and will start selling milk, yogurt and eggs in the coming months.
The expansion program is fueled by $225 million in funding from investors.
Currently, Misfits has 500 SKU's with a goal to reach 1,000 SKU's in 6 months.
The average order is above $50 with sales in produce, seafood, meat and plant based proteins.
Beyond becoming a full-fledged food retailer, Misfits is intent on reducing food waste and has set a goal of eliminating food deserts in the U.S. by 2025.
