He will lead the company's marketing, retail, and distribution departments and report to CEO Pete Van Helden.
He will remain the company's President and continue to serve on its executive leadership team.
McNiff is a 41 year veteran of the supermarket industry, beginning his career at Albertsons and grew into a variety of leadership roles advancing to President of the Portland Division for Albertsons.
He has served as Stater's President since 2019.
Stater Bros. operates 170 supermarkets in 7 So. California counties and has 18,000 employees.
