Where Are They Now: Bruce Bates

I had many roles in American Stores from Store Manager to Group A/P Manager in the Phoenix Processing Center to Buyer in Scottsdale.  I moved to Boise with American Stores/Albertsons working on a procurement/forecasting project.

After Osco/American Stores I went to work for Simplot in Boise, Idaho.  I plan on retiring at the end of this year! 

For fun (and extra income) I am a photographer.  I love to do woodworking and look forward to spending many hours in the shop.

My fondest memories of my 20 years with Osco/American Stores is looking back on the people I worked with…Chicagoland Outings, district picnics, the grumpy guy with the rancid shaving cream training video and so much more.  At one of the outings we went to the Medieval Times-the jester’s rearranged our song “Count On People Who Care” to “We Don’t Care, You Can Count On iT”-Ha, good times.
