After graduating from the University of Montana in 1975 with a double major in Marketing and Finance I went to work as a management trainee at the Waterloo Iowa Cross Roads store managed by Carl Kolpin. I was promoted to a second assistant there before I became a first assistant at the 27th street store in Billings Montana. I then made the transition to banking for the next 27 years. My wife Candyce and I retired in 2006 and live on the shores of Flathead Lake near Polson Montana.
