Where Are They Now: Gail Turcotte

Good morning. I'm just sitting here watching the snow fall from 1st big Blizzard of '26. The days with Osco drug were great!  I have so many fond memories with the crews and I met fantastic people over the years. I remember starting with Osco and being thrown into pharmacy the week of Christmas....what a nightmare, but I succeeded and went onto 33 years of pharmacy. I started as a pharmacy tech,  went onto RxAmerica with the infamous Bob McDowell, then to Corporate office in Cambridge, MA and with Larry Walhstrom, Joan Gumbleton, Debbie Kabelis, Ron Horwart and Gerry LaPointe, just to name a few, I was in the East wing Debbie would say; never made it into West wing...from there I transferred to California when my son started acting, I worked in Hollywood and they called me Beantown...they were great people too, had fun meeting another great group of the Osco family...but the crew in East were the best, and I can say an Osco family we were! My memories from being a pharmacy technician, conquering 3rd party insurance, teaching NEO and doing RxAmerica, just to name a few, were the BEST.  I remember I would never make 10 years with the company,  but when I made it. For the ones who remember....I picked out my 10 year anniversary gift and as I strolled into Larry's office I said "this gift i chose, wont do, it had a chip of a diamond in the charm, and said it has to be at least a carat,"  so Larry and Joan got together and went to Star Market next door and put a carrot from the salad bar with the charm, it was fantastic that they did this...I knew from this point on, I would be here to the end, the family stuck together with friendship. This is only 1 of the fond memory I have,  I probably could write a book, like many of us could.   I'm now retired and traveling around meeting new people...making more memories...not to say I have been crafting up a storm, making snowmen are my favorite...I do craft fairs in the Fall, and have crafts in a few stores, it keeps me busy, or should I say 49 years of being busy. To everyone from both coasts, hope we all stay safe and remember those days.

Thanks for letting me rant a bit!
