Where Are They Now: Stephen Certo

Our family is doing well.  My older daughter Meghan continues to live in LA, CA for the past 20 years.  She works for Marvel TV. My younger daughter Lauren also lived in LA. until she got married in 2023 and had our first grandchild, Reina Jay Alonso, on 04-01-25.  They live in Oakland CA and she is a writer and yoga instructor.

My wife Denise and I have lived in Wilsonville, OR since 2017.  I was the Director of Pharmacy Operations for the Portland Division of Safeway/Albertsons from (2017-2025).   I retired on 03/25 after 30 years with the company.

I keep busy having fun by visiting my granddaughter, playing golf with my son-in-law and continue to run and work out at our local gym.

Our best vacation was to visit our daughter Meghan in London.  She was there for 9 months working on a project for Marvel.  We spent time visiting all of London and took a short trip to Paris as well.

My fondest memories at Osco were many.  My most vivid memory would be the comradery, friendships and strong family culture in New England.  I remember Jerry LaPointe mentioning that we lost only 1 pharmacist over a 10 plus period of time.  My favorite memory would be our first overnight Rx Mgr meeting.  We went to NH and had a golf outing and meeting.  It was so much fun and full of many, many laughs with many pharmacists who had never golfed before.
