I am doing fine following the code TODAAT=TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME. At age of 84 that is a lot of days. Sixty one years ago I left my home town of Oshkosh and UWO to join Ike Curry at Turnstyle 701 in Racine Wisconsin. Then 3 years later joined the group at 1955 in Melrose Park. After 32 years with various positions and companies within the family. I moved to Arizona in 1999 to open an office for TSI in. 2002 I retired to take on a role of caregiver for my wife Darlene for the next 17 years when she left me in charge. During that time my son Jeff and daughter Jill asked me who is going to take care of you? So in 2016 I moved to Bloomington Indiana.
At that time Jill and 3 grandkids kept me in flow and over saw my conversion to a Hoosier. Also Jeff and family were close by in Ill. And my family in Wisconsin kept me in flow. For the past nine years I have been in flow via various interests. I became active with the IUH ALZ support groups as a volunteer. Also active with the ALZ Association annual walks. This past year I was the #1 fund raiser in Bloomington,#3 In Indiana,#51 Nationwide.
I was also active with IUHF to raise funds for our local support groups and support for nurses. To round out my time I am President of our HOA condo association. I am also on the board for the Bloomington Newcomers and Neighbors Club. Via that group I belong to the Canasta and cribbage groups. Also I am a active UWO alumni via their events and fund raising. Several years ago I realized that my time on the board for the Osco/Savon Alumni Club was being impacted via my other activities and I left after being an active supporter via AZ events and other alumni events. So that’s my update, been there and done it, .also could have, should have, would have.
Thanks for Listening.
